Not some much a hole, but a slit.

If you look carefully you will see the slit at the end of the tube section on the end that has a hex. The hex is there to adjust the nozzle.

It's easier to spot the slit if you unscrew the cap on the end of the tube, but then you risk breaking the thin plastic sealing washer.

Before removing the cap, try clearing the slit with a pin.

FYI, new washer nozzle assemblies are available for $15.00.
