thanks for your reply James. maint is,, I must admit, lacking somewhat. have always kept the oil up but haven't changed it for a while. my original plan before all this happened as I posted was to fix the 2 worst leaks and then get it all cleaned up and go from there. To answer a few questions. plug and coil are about 2-3 years old and in good shape. Car has good spark and as near as I Can tell without a fuel pressure tester,fuel pressure is. good. Have not looked at the air filter. Will do that soon.. Asi i said before , the compression was at 120 which i was told is gddd
I know that the pcv system is not right and that is another problem I was going to address. One problem is the car
ran for a goodly time and it was jerry rigged from the time we got it so i do not have a good idea how it all goes together. Have had great difficulty finding a good illustration of how it goes. as I said, jerry rigged, did not even have a flame trap.. It does now and I also checked the oil separator and it was not clogged upAs far as starting I try it for 2-4 seconds 3-4 times. also used starting fluid to no avail. Do you have any thoughts on why every time i put it back together after first the cam and crank seal and then the ECT sensor, it would start right up and after sitting overnight no start.
