Driveshaft center bearing 700 1991

Today I changed out the drive center bearing and its carrier. I watched a few youtube videos and read the the FAQ section regarding this . When the bearing and the center support arrived I thought I received the wrong bearing as the FAQ suggest that the inner race would be 1.25 inches when in fact it was 1.75 inches , the outer race would be 2 inches when it is actually 3 inches. This is for a Type 3 setup which my 1991 740 ( regina ) is. To remove the outer metal frame and its associated rubber I used a very sharp blade and cut away as much as I could exposing the outer race of the bearing then using a three jaw bearing puller to get it off the shaft. It worked great with the expected loud pop when it broke free. To press the bearing into the cup I used a big G clamp. Home depot sells a 3 inch wrought iron cap and is a perfect fit for the back end. A friend of mine had a 3 inch disc and I used for the front end.The cup was lubricated with plumbers silicone. I used a flat punch and heavy hammer to drive the bearing unto the shaft , hitting the inner race till it seated fully.
Things pretty much went well and I noted the precautions such as the alignment and greasing the splines. Hopefully this will solve a drivetrain vibration I was experiencing. Once again for the type 3 , inner race 1.75 inches and the outer 3 inches. Regards
