Fusebox fire! 1800 None

Ron, thanks for the response, I wasn’t sure the Bakelite would take much more pressure from tightening the tab so thought a little help from epoxy would be an option. I keep a little plasticine handy to close off escape routes so might give one of my older spares a go. When I started pulling out the old wiring harness and discovered the schematic for the cigar lighter circuit was incorrect and then traced it back in-fused to the battery I figured that needed to be dealt with, and since then have read your advice regarding the single fuse box amperage reduction. Just looking for some period correct Lucas 8 or 10amp to put in place of the 35.

What do you suggest for the amperage of an inline fuse at the cigar lighter?

Thanks
Graham
