Volvo - 381251 - 139652 reverse switch

Here's a picture of the switch.



Notice the paper label that shows the color dots of 2 of the 3 wires, but you can't see the 3rd wire color which is blue and yellow.

Also notice the plastic post in the middle and that it has 2 flat sides.

The blue and yellow wire goes on the connector that is parallel to 1 of the flat side of the post in the middle, then going clockwise, the next wire is green and red and the last wire is red.

If you can't see up there, you can just plug the wires in the correct order and see if you got it right by checking to see if the reverse lights come on when you put it in reverse.

If they don't then rotate the location of the wires by 1 position while maintaining the correct order and recheck. Worst case scenario is you have to do this 3 times.

FYI, you can't blow a fuse when all 3 wires are connected to this switch even if the wires are in the wrong position or in the wrong order.
