I recommend prelubing replacement e-brake cables with a thinned out graphite grease/Anti-Seize (when the thining agent [I like tri-Flow for this] evaporates away it leaves the graphite right where it needs to be!).
I also recommend freeing and lubing with AS, the (what I will call pivot linkage) in the Disc, as you will be in there anyway to install the rep cable. These linkages spend most of their life trying to rust themselves into a "monolithic structure", so the AS will prevent this...
