Thank you, Porkface and Dave. You gave me a good starting point. I had tried searching, but did not realize the LH versions were different. After Dave's post, I found a thread discussing a 2.2 swap with a 2.4.

I will give it a go swapping just the block and head. The bottom end in the 780 motor has a slight knock and metal dust collecting on the oil plug magnet. The 940 motor I have already has 300k miles on it. So my objective will be to have the original 780 motor rebuilt and installed back into the vehicle. For that reason, I am not interested in a complete electrical swap.
