Retro fitting LED bulbs 245 200 1987

Volvo 240 files.

Search current issues and the 240 headlight switch and remote wiring to bring fused B+ to the headlamp filaments.

On my 1992, I by passed the bulb-out sensor. (No, NOT a relay.) Bright low beams, brake lights, rear and front parking lights.

As you have e-codes, you may have option to use LED headlamp bulbs. Your e-cold headlamp assemblies are H4 or still Hb1/9004? I've found some LED bulbs with maybe 5000 lumens a pair maybe oklay on 1986+ crappy US crappy DOT platic garbage 240 factory headlamps. I have the crappy and crappier crappy US crappy DOT plasti dip garbage head lamp assemblies. So garbage beam pattern in the 9004 reflector head lamp assembly.

To brighten the headlamps and you want halogens, you make or buy a harness for 240 that offloads the headlamp filament load to a set of relays so the headlamp switch and relay at your foot under the rug. You may be able to use bright, high current halogens.

If LED, red bulbs for rear tail / brake lights, and amber for turn. Apparently works better then white bulb shining through a red lens.
