exhaust manifold 900

IMHO what will be a pain in the ass is the turbo oil return pipe. I do not think you can move the manifold away from the head without disconnecting this pipe. You can reach it with you on the bottom, or on the top if you can do it blind. A swivel short (13mm 1/4 drive?) and an extension would help; I've never needed more than a 1/4 drive to pop them out, but when I put them back in I learned it pays to put something (plastic of a supermarket shopping bag) between socket and bolt so you do not worry about it falling off... again. Also, coming up with a way to line the return line and turbo CHRA will make you and threads happy.

Next would be the bracket on the bottom of the exhaust manifold, connecting it to the block; it is supposed to help keeping the manifold from cracking. Maybe you can unbolt it (from block or manifold) and it will no longer be in the way.

The oil supply line (top of turbo) is easy to deal with.

Full disclosure: I did replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on my work's car park. If you do not mess with the coolant lines, I do not think you need to worry about slipping goo on the ground. I forgot to have spare gaskets for the oil (I damaged one), so a cardboard tea box lid was sacrificed.

If you have not done it yet, do get a spare oil return line to engine block o-ring.
