OD problems and whacking the dash... 200 89

"...firmly but not violently, wack the dash at the point where it meets the upper left corner of the glovebox. If you OD engages, the relay is bad..."

This is a "one way" test. If whacking the dash affects the OD, then the relay is flakey. But if belting the dash does nothing (except break a few knuckles) it does NOT mean the relay's OK.
