The MIL, Malfunction Indicator Light, or check engine light can be set by the transmission. If the fault has been corrected the light will reset itself after three, (I think), trips. Here a trip is a sequence of cold start, some number of miles above some speed, and a cool down after the trip. Bottom line, wait, it should turn itself off if the problem has truly gone away.

Maybe a problem with the connectors on the side of the transmission?
