replaced Lambda fuel air with non/lambda 200 78

I just replaced the entire fuel air unit in my son's 242GT w/Lambda with a fuel/air unit from a non-california 77' 242 parts car (plain jane with the EGR setup). The car runs great, but seems to use more fuel than it used to. Do I need to adjust the mixture? Is there anything else I should look for. (I didn't put the EGR valve on the 242GT when I did this - could this affect my mileage? - I assumed that wouldn't hurt anything).

Also - does anyone have a good wiring diagram for an 82 MPG engine? I'm redoing the wiring harness at the firewall and forgot to mark which wire on the "car" side that the "grey" wire on the engine side matches up with - since it appears there isn't a grey wire on the car side. the device it attaches to is a thermal sensor for the Lambda unit, I think, located underneath the thermal time switch).
