paul: I have an 88 s/w 740 w/ABS and when ABS lite comes on what has shut the lite off several times is removing excess dust on the wheel sensors. these are underneath car and I use a garden hose to clean underside. This has worked every time and the lite goes out not immediately but within a few hours of cleaning w/ some driving. Weekly you can spray wheels off, like when washing car- that helps also. hope that works. mark
