This probably shouldn't have been voted into the archives, at least not just yet. Although this may just have been a mistake, it's been happening a fair bit lately. Permit me to give some friendly advice as the archives have always been a pet project of mine.

This will not be really a complete thread of valuable information until someone replies with a fairly definitive answer on the availability of those rear window slats. At that point you would vote for those posts in the thread that you think should go into the permanent archive. Unnecessary stuff in the archives just wastes storage space that ultimately costs Jarrod and creates an extra load for the search indexer. It would probably be a good idea to re-read the moderators guide (accessible from the site FAQ page).

When moderating, there are currently only two choices: Vote and it stays on-site forever or just leave it and it will disappear off the face of the earth when the RWD forum becomes full (current retention is 1000 posts or about 1 week). Unfortunately there is no way to identify posted queries that may need to hang around for a few weeks before receiving a useful reply. The best the originator can do to keep it alive is by re-posting every 5 days or so, either as a new thread or as a reply under the original post.

Otherwise, keep up the good work. The BrickBoard archives are almost certainly the largest repository of Volvo information on the Web. Jarrod's fast new search engine makes the archives even more accessible and more useful than ever.
