How to get tailgate hinges off? 200 1985

I posted a question almost a month ago about water dripping into my car when it rains and most people pointed to the tailgate hinges or the roof rack thingy. Since I don't have a roofrack, I suspect the gasket for the tailgate hinges may have broken down to the point where water is leaking in. I have the gasket stuff (RTV) and need to figure out how to get the hinges loose so I can put a nice dab of the RTV stuff there. Thanks in advance.
