My power windows all stopped working at the same time last year. It was a broken wire in the big rubber tube travelling between the car and the driver door. But for the models of the early '80, the switch problem is very frequent(no relay between the motor and the switch??)...

I'm pretty sure that your window regulators are okay, these little devices are very though
