No OD.

The wire *should be* connected to a plug (male) which runs from the shifter linkage. The wire running from the solenoid is broken off right at the base of the solenoid (female) side plug. In other words, no way can I just solder it back on.

Next question - can I get a new wire or does the whole solenoid have to be replaced. Its a fairly standard looking plug, if the Volvo recycler cant trim the wire lead for me its off to Radio Shack.
