Following instructions at 700/900 FAQ, I took the idle air valve out of the 1986 760 turbo, disassembled it apart and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated both the valve head and electric motor. I put it back on the car and idle went up to 1600 rpm. It remained there even after I turned the newly lubricated plastic knob all the way in with a brand new
O ring. Following instructions once again, I loosened the stop screw on the side of the throttle body. Idle went down to 1200 rpm. Then, I adjusted the threaded plastic headed rod that connects throttle and accelerator cable, but idle remained around 1200 rpm. Checked TPS, and it clicks as soon as I start to open the throttle. Please, what gives?
