Power Seat Memory S90-V90 97

I am unable to change the settings on the three seat memory buttons. They are either set to factory defaults or were set by previous owner. When I try to save new settings to any of the buttons the preset buttons will not reposition the seat until I pull out the power seat fuse for a second or two and plug back in. Any ideas on what may be causing this and how to fix sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
