Thanx to all who posted a couple weeks ago, regarding my problem with my 240 that was burning rich. Just to help provide the string of events, my CE light came on. The Volvo dealership computer said it was the O-2 sensor and the temp sensor. I replaced those, along with the throttle switch, fuel pump relay, and a couple other parts that I can't recall.
Finally, it was determined by my mechanic (not the imbeciles at the dealership) that is was the ECM. Specifically, the Bosch xxxxx561 (or is it 516, hell I can't recall). Anyway, it's the "tough one" to find.....most places don't have used ones in stock. The local dealership wanted $1386 for a new one. None of the used part guys in this area had one. I started calling the firms listed on the parts section of this site. Called about 8 places and NONE of 'em had it. Most said that they always had trouble getting that particular ECM. One of the firms in Oregon spotted one on their computer as being "in stock" at a parts guy in Texas. So I called him up, and luckily enough he still had it. A "mere" $250. Very friendly and good service, by the way. Place is called A-1 Imports, in Austin, TX. 800-426- 5385, or www.a1-imports.com They aren't listed on this site, but they should be.
Anyway, with the new ECM in, she runs like a charm! Thanx to all who replied to my original query.
