I know you heart is in the right place with all of your advice but in a couple places where you deviate from the OEM design I would advise anyone to proceed with caution.
In particular, If you keep all the cooling system components OEM as in plastic and aluminum you minimize the number of galvanic cells that can start corrosion. The "plastic" radiator in my '85 diesel lasted for more than 12 years until a road cone made high speed contact with the bottom one day. The one in my present car is now 5 years old and seems fine.
I wouldn't flush the transmission with anything but a quality all synthetic fluid. I believe Volvo installs synthetic at the factory and expects it to last the life of the car. (I'm going to change the filter and flush mine soon using Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.)
