Tommy - I have a 1970 145 with the B20B engine. I recently installed the Pertronix system and cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything seems to run smoother now.

Anyhow - it was my understanding that the cast iron distributor was only on the B18 engines, so if you have the original distributor on your engine, then it has to be the aluminum one.
