Reset radio code 240-260 93

Was necessary to remove battery. When trying to reset radio code..entered wrong code. Disconnected battery again for a ,oment then tried to enter CORRECT code to no avail. Am going to disconnect battery again. How long should I wait before reconnecting battery connection and reentering code.
