Re: Bulb failure sensor replacement 700 1990

I was going through the same aggravation last night that you have been experiencing. I read Randy's response, and still had trouble. He was right however, do not take out the radio or shift lever. The tray with the cigerette lighter, located above the ashtray should be removed. The open end (rear) of the cig lighter housing will pull off. Grab the housing at the 3 o'clock position with your thumb and index finger. Pull it straight back towards you----towards the rear of the car. It comes off easily. Under this cover are two phllips head screws that are removed to release the tray so it can be slid out of the opening. Do not remove the wires from the lighter or light. I didn't remove the relay board to get to the bulb failure sensor. I was able to reach in and pull it straight up and remove it. I pried off the cover, drilled holes in it, resoldered all connections and so far, everything works. Let me know how you come out.
