Believe it or not, your springs are sagging. I just went through this on my kid's 1995 944 and we ended up replacing the springs on one side of the car. It had an identical 3/4 inch sag on the left side, and consistently pulled to the right while driving. The dealer who had earlier looked at it told me the ball joints and bushings were shot; fortunately, I had enough sense to measure the ride height and discovered the spring problem. After replacing both springs, the problems disappeared.
