engine coolant 200 88

i recently posted that i got a small cloud of white smoke starting on hot days, someone atributed this to possibly being an internal coolant leak, well i want to check my collant level but this new-fangled radiator with an expansion tank is foreign to me...

how do i check the coolant level? theres antifreeze in the plastic expansion tank, but does that nessecarily indicate there is coolant in the radiator/engine?
