Pete is wisely suggesting that you're facing a new (or rebuilt) starter in the future. However, because you're a High Priest of Home Depot, use this golden opportunity to buy a full hammer set, air compressor, air tools, new jacks, and other basic necessities at HD for the upcoming job. I'm sure your wife will understand, seeing that it's her car in question.

Hell, you might even justify a welder, new garage, lift.....
