I am not sure what tracking is, but after installing new ball joints and tie rod ends you should obtain a wheel alignment. The "count the threads" trick to maintain toe-in settings may not be enough after taking into account component wear. Tip: install the tie rod ends using anti-seize on the inner tie rods, then rust-proof the threads with 3M spray rustproof or similar. Ask me about removing rusted tie rods.
