I recently replaced my aluminum case trans (88 turbo) with an ealier cast iron trans. This seems to be the hot tip because most of the alminum ones should be well worn. I paid less than $ 250 w/ overdrive. These cars are getting old and I think the market must be slowly drying up. The bad news was that the turbo uses a different clutch($163 disc, $266 pressure plt).Tips on putting in a cast iron trans are in the 700-900 FAQ.Bruce Allen
