Re: Sunroof 140-160 75

Hehe, u sound like a smart guy. I've got an 86 745 gle. How can I adjust my sunroof so that why i close it from the vent position it doesn't catch the rear roof of my car? For example, I open it to vent position- then close it- then go to open it backwards and it is stuck. Either hitting the top of it to push it down will fix it, or sometimes a little extra force at the hand crank will do the trick. I have taken the sunroof apart to replace the headliner- but it was doing that before.

Another problem is when in vent position and going relatively fast (around 45, I think that is related to the problem anyway) and I take the vent down the front of the sunroof will stick up. To fix I open the sunroof backwards and it will pop down. I noticed there seems to be some welded pieces missing located at the front where the roof connects up to the front of the roof. Are there welded pieces there? Also, the metal flap that goes down as u close the roof gets caught because it doesn't go down enough, so I have it held down by a computer isa card slot cover.

What all do you think my problems are? Also, the faq doesn't mention where exactly to lube it- I'm assuming all moving parts- that's what I'll do anyway.

Thanks,

Nathan
