Thanks for the tips.I have grounded the sensor wire and it does allow the overdrive relay to energize, when the 5th gear button is pressed, however I still don't have 12V on the relay output (yellow wire) for the solenoid. Therefore it appears to me that I have a bad sensor and a bad relay
