I have a mystery transmission. It was delivered by a friend, thinking it was an M41 for a 122/1800. Doesn't look like any of the 4 M41s (combos and seperate OD units) that I have.
It's indicated to be a J type.
The shift extender, unlike the U-shaped tunnel of the 122/1800 M41, isrectagular bar, and it's attached bracket
mounts throuigh a seperator plate and into the tranny, between the OD unit andthe tranny.
The actual shift rod is below the extender.
The solenoid is on the driver's side.
Here are the various numbers found:
On the OD:
1232078
SG 7388-1-L
115314
27/115660 and 047188 (on the Laycock plate)
On the tranny:
790109
123543
K3
Thanks in advance,
gary
