Hi, I was looking at my parts stock this afternoon, trying to figure out which system I'll fit in my '65 coach. I have all parts I need for fitting
the earler (->68 B16/B18's) or the later system (69-70 B20's), but I'm not sure I want to go through the whole conversion, though: lots of work. Then I thought that it might be possible to use the the master cylinder/booster from the B20 & plug the old system on it, with the rear brakes connected to one way out and the front to the other one. This would give me two separate circuits without having to fit all the dual lines to the back & to the front calipers. Questions are:
1- are the 2 systems compatible
2- has anyone done that?
3- Can any of you guys provide the precise scecifications for master cylinder/brake booster/wheel cylinders of each model. I'm esp interested in the the bore & stroke of the cylinders, of course, but any help is welcome. Is there a web site summing up that kind of technical data???
Thanks
Séb
