NTSB (or whomever) data 140-160 1982

Ok, we all know that the 240 is a very safe car. Does anyone know of a source of documentation to prove this? Does the NTSB keep these sort of records? I would assume there is some sort of criteria, such as deaths per 100,000 passenger miles, or whatever, right? Anyone know where to get this sort of data? Maybe the NTSB web site . . . ?
