Dash rattles & dash lights - what are they?

My 240's all have owner's manuals, so I look there for which lights do what on the instrument panel. My control panel has only the lights that go on with the headlights. My console has lights only for the seat heater switches, rear-facing seat belt warning and floor light.

What model and year Volvo are you asking about?
