Why use 140 calipers? 120-130 1965

yAH,
The later cars come with 4- pot dual circuit brakes, unlike most 122's single- circuit, 3 (yes, three!) pot calipers(there are a few 122's with 4- pots, but I cna't seem to find the parts)
thus, you get dual circuit (read, safety) brakeswith the later calipers.

It's possible to split the front/rears onto 2 circuits for some redundancy, but the 'redundant' split systems are considered by many (me included) to be safer!
