240 Classic 5-speeds...how many?

Let me add my two bits to Michael's sound input: 800 were sedans - half of them red, the others blue-green. Of the 800 wagons, 88 (including my own) had the M-47 five speed. Though I'm not certain, a similar ratio might be assumed for the sedans. Carl Bauske, keeper of the VCOA Classics Register, can probably give you VINs. He also, at times, knows about Classics for sale. Either cbauske@us.ibm.com, or cabauske@us.ibm.com.
It took me about six months to find the 93 five speed wagon I was looking for, and when I found one, it turned out to be a Classic. Pure luck. This one does not have the numbers on the dash, I assume because it came into the US through Tourist and Diplomat Sales, and it's only the ones sold through US dealers in the US that have the numbers. I bought my first Volvo in 1959, and am one of those curmudgeons who believes Volvo's history essentially ended in 1993. So, I'm happy with the car. Now, if it would only be as much fun to drive as my 62 PV544 daily summer driver, I'd be REALLY happy.
