Pretty straight forward repair. The biggest pain for me in the three that I have done is getting the old gasket off. Call me lucky but the majority of the gasket seems to remain on the transmission rather than come off with the housing. I cover the exposed components with clean rags and used spray on gasket remover (numerous applications) and a single edge razor blade to clean all the gasket off of the surface. I use a full service auto supply store that has a good machine shop and I always let them replace the bushing for me. Usually a service like that is only $8.00 and if I drop it off before noon they usually have it ready before closing.
It is a good time to remove the allan head screws in the universal joints and replace them with small grease fittings so they can be lubricated.
