Does it really matter what lubricant you use? Any common lubricant will work on a simple mechanism like the hinge. The number of different responses and lubricants that people are happily using tell us that. Just make sure you do it!

For me I use a drop of oil or two hinges and the detent rollers and a spot of grease (any grease) on the detent itself every 6 months or so, whenever I feel like it or have nothing else to do.

PS
There are far more important maintenance issues to be concerned about than the door hinges when you perform your 180K service.
