Go back to this "dealer" and have him loosen up the throttle down shift linkage, takes 1 minute to do. Test drive it with the mechanic or rep with you before you accept it. Don't pay them anything more to do this. Then, find a good reputable Volvo repair shop that you can trust and stay away from dealers. IMHO use dealers only if you want to buy a new car or for warranty repairs, nothing else.
