Hmmm...a super stud, eh? Well, whatever floats your boat...
Seriously, I think the main reasons for them breaking are 1) Rust, and 2) Because some of the lower ones are hard to access, I think the uppers get over-tightened when it springs a vaccuum leak.
If you've got the head off, I would go ahead and replace all the studs. A lot easier to do when its apart than later. The studs should be fairly standard, and easy to find in grade 5, grade 8...or maybe even stainless. Also, I know on my Jaguar, the exhaust manifolds are held on with brass bolts to keep them from rusting to the studs. That would be something to think about. Of course, it makes them easy to strip, but that's easier to deal with than broken studs.
I'm sure you could also go with stainless bolts and studs...but the studs in stainless might get pricey.
