If you have the original washer nozzles old Volvos had they are finicky to adjust. First you have to get the whole nozzle turned towards the correct area. The nozzles go through round holes to inside the car inside the dash. There they have a small nut which fastens them. Loosen the nut and turn the nozzle, retighten the nut. If you dont have long arms and eyes on the end of your fingers you may need help aiming them while you tighten them. Make sure you get them nice and snug or they will get knocked awry every time you wash the car.
Next is the up/down spray angle. The little arm that sticks out of the nozzle body has a small screw to block the end and direct the flow out through a little v shaped notch. (The screws purpose is to facilitate clearing clogs from the system - take the screw out, run the washer and any obstructions are washed out). Angle the notch with a little wrench - the arms have a relaxed taper screw fit.
