Thanks for all your tips.

And I want to apologize if I came off like a thankless complainer.
The Brickboard is a great place to be.

My wife phoned me to say that the transmission is working fine.

Whatever was keeping it from going into 4th gear magically disappeared after a few days of her driving around.

I definitely should change the fluid.
