I think you can buy an overhaul kit which includes these 'O' rings. If you're pedal is spongy/fades you could have problems with air bubbles being admitted at these seals. I would personally not use the vehicle until this is sorted. If you have an accident, even if it is not your fault, and investiogators find a problem with you brakes then you'll be in a sh**pot full of trouble. assuming you live, of course.
