You fit the seal and the boot to the caliper body, make sure the groove is clear of all rust and other detritus/crap. You then sit the piston on the boot, and hook the lip of the boot round the piston, I normally use a bit of bent welding wire. Then press the piston home. The proper red girling rubber grease is an essential for the job.
