Now you see Brandon, this is how I ended up with a poor first impression of you. Thankfully we got around that and you are not a bad guy by all accounts.

But in all honesty.... and you will be the only one reading this far down...

Brandon..... those kind of comments, in the context in which they developed, pisses people off.

You posted about your "neutral drops" and all that happy crap. Numerous people warned you of potential damage to the driveline. This was after another recent accident in the 960, not your fault, of course. And all this followed your posts last year about wrecking your S80, again not your fault, that forced you into the 960 as you backup. Previous to that, your biggest concern seemed to be "Which car should I drive to school?"

Brandon, normal people don't live like that. A normal person who is lucky enough or successful enough to own such a nice ride would NEVER inflict such damage onto a car. Most people have to work their asses off to afford a car like that. Most people view a major failure or a collision as a huge financial setback.

Most people who encounter such troubles, even self-inflicted, who end up here looking for advice on how to fix the problem on their own, don't wind up the thread with:

"I guess Ill let the dealer put a new one on. Thank god I can afford it."

It's just a shitty way to present yourself.... Even if you do have all this money.

So unless you want to take your money and live in seclusion from the world like Howard Hughes, may I suggest that you re-examine how regular folks might view your attitude and how it might cast you in a poor light.

Now, if you really have all these extra resources laying around, let me offer you a deal.....

I will personally drive up to Ventura County and HELP YOU install a new differential. With the money you save, you can help me pay off my loans and credit cards I racked up trying to keep my 960 alive. Because, no thanks to god.... I CAN'T afford it.
