Mike, resolder the fuel pump relay. Take it out, open the case and resolder the connections in the PC board. Use LOTS of solder and use a gun not an iron. the fuel pump relay has two relays, one for the pumps, the other for the AMM.

I've done the resolder trick, a la Don Foster, and so far so good. I still ahve the original main pump and a new sender/re-pump replaced under warrantee, many years ago.
