Milan -

What you have in the '83 sounds unusual to me. In your spot I would swap the radiators ASAP. Having a good 240 overheat is a real bummer. BTDT. Then, with the '83 rad out and on the ground, you can whack, pound, grip, torch, whatever, to get that fitting fixed right.
