You can, or at least once could, buy them from Volvo. Prices vary from store to store, but when I priced them some eight years or so ago, the compressor and the fancy pliers were under $200US. The big stinker is the shims. If you already have a pile, you may have the size you need, but a set of new ones can add up fast.
