I've converted a couple. Cooling is improved, especially with a/c. I installed a manual switch on dash along with a thermostatic one. I also use an ipd 3 core radiator which has the thermostat built in. Makes a neat install. I guess you free up a few hp but my favorite benefits are low noise and more room under the hood.
